Boulder County, Colo. - On World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10, the Boulder County Coroner’s Office joins communities across the world in honoring those lost to suicide, supporting survivors, and raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention.

If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts, help is available. You are not alone. Call or text 988, or access live chat help through the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line for free, confidential support.

Rise Against Suicide is a youth focused suicide prevention non-profit organization that connects people 19 years or younger with therapy. If you are a youth struggling with suicidal thoughts, call Rise Against Suicide at 720-263-0085 for help.

Boulder County is fortunate to have a 24/7 walk-in mental health crisis clinic at 3180 Airport Road in Boulder operated by Clinica Family Health and Wellness, formerly Mental Health Partners. This facility is open to anyone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis, regardless of insurance or place of residence. You do not have to be a Clinica patient or client to get help for yourself or a loved one.

“I recognize the profound impact suicide has on our community,” said Coroner Jeff Martin. “By raising awareness of suicide, and sharing resources available to anyone that needs help, I hope to foster understanding, reduce stigma, and encourage those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts to immediately get help.”
