Boulder County, Colo. - On August 13, 2025, just before 9:00 a.m., a Boulder County Sheriff’s Office deputy found a deceased male outside of the Boulder County Justice Center, 1777 6th Street, Boulder, CO, while conducting a routine security check around the building.

A deputy saw a male he believed to be sleeping on the northeast corner of the building, but upon further inspection, he discovered the male was deceased. Security footage shows the decedent on the justice center property after midnight. From midnight to when the deputy found the decedent, no one else approached his body.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for determining the identification of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death, however the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

The following agencies responded to the scene: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder Fire Rescue, and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.
