Nederland Area Forest Fuels Reduction Project Community Meetings June 12 and July 31
Written public comment accepted through June 10.
Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space, Boulder Watershed Collective, and project partners will host two community meetings at the Nederland Community Center on two Thursday evenings, June 12 and July 31, 6 - 7:30 p.m., to discuss the Middle Boulder Creek Fuels Reduction Partnership Project area near Nederland. A site visit was held on May 17 where project partners met with community members and discussed the project.
Community members are encouraged to submit written public comments by June 10 and attend the community meetings.
The Middle Boulder Creek Fuels Reduction Partnership Project is a coordinated effort to reduce wildfire risk and enhance forest resilience across approximately 200 acres of fire-prone landscapes west of the Town of Nederland. The project covers public and private properties in the Tucker and Elk Draw area and Arapaho Ranch.
