Public Works Resource Conservation Division Spring 2025 Newsletter
Hello, and welcome to the Public Works Resource Conservation Division Newsletter, Spring Edition. I’m so happy to be in your inbox. This quarterly newsletter will keep you up-to-date with Resource Conservation Division (RCD) news and provide fun information and helpful resources.
The Resource Conservation Division (RCD) proudly announces the installation of bilingual displays at the Boulder County Recycling Center! This project started last April with a focus group of bilingual speakers. It ended this April with the installation of all displays, including our Can Man video, in English and Spanish.
I’m very proud of these displays. It was a labor of love doing content revisions and editing with an internal RCD team, folks from EcoCycle, and our contractor, Studio Tectonic. Thank you also to the fabricator, Condit, for a smooth and easy installation over three days.

The displays are now fully accessible for Spanish speakers. Let me know if you have any recommendations on Spanish-speaking communities that would enjoy this tour and we’ll reach out. Guided tours can be done in Spanish if we have an interpreter available. Email me at cvalenza@bouldercounty.gov with any questions or recommendations.
We love our pets, but they come with a lot of stuff. I wanted to give you a one-stop shop for pet item proper disposal.
Here’s my 12-year-old dog, Gypsy, and my 15-year-old cat, Simon. Read: geriatric pets with all the medications.
