Boulder County Sheriff’s Office To Host Open House for Job Opportunities

Open House To Be Held on January 25

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce an Open House event for anyone interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or civilian support roles. The event will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, located at 5600 Flatiron Parkway, Boulder, CO.

This event is free and open to the public, offering a unique opportunity to meet members of the Sheriff’s Office who currently serve in a variety of roles. Attendees can learn more about current and upcoming job openings, including:

  • Patrol Deputy – Selected applicants will attend the police academy starting in August 2025, fully paid for by the Sheriff’s Office.
  • Jail Deputy – Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification is not required.
  • Detention Specialist (Civilian Position) – Monitor operations and provide administrative support to detention personnel.
  • Community Service Officer (Civilian Position) – A non-sworn support position focused on public assistance and administrative tasks.
  • Corrections Nurse (Civilian Position) - Responsible for health care of inmates.
