Two suspects arrested after firing multiple rounds from moving vehicle in unincorporated Boulder County

Boulder County, Colo. -

On November 24, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Boulder County Sheriff’s Office deputies were in the area of 119th Street and Oxford Road in unincorporated Boulder County conducting increased patrols following several recent incidents of unknown suspect(s) shooting multiple handgun and rifle rounds from a moving vehicle.

While deputies were in the area, several gunshots were heard, and one deputy observed the suspect vehicle as rounds were being fired from it as the vehicle travelled northbound in the 8400 block of 119th Street.

A pursuit ensued involving Boulder County Sheriff’s deputies which led into the City of Longmont. Longmont Police Officers did not participate in the pursuit itself, however they did provide assistance once the suspect vehicle came to a stop on it’s own accord near the 300 block of S. Sunset Street.

Two juvenile males were safely taken into custody. A handgun and several handgun rounds were recovered from the vehicle and juveniles.

The juveniles were booked and lodged on the following charges: Eluding, Reckless Driving, Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License, Prohibited Use of a Weapon (5 counts), Possession of a Handgun by a Juvenile (5 counts), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

No injuries were reported to any victims, bystanders, law enforcement officers, or the suspects during these incidents or in the apprehension of these individuals. At this time, it is not known why the suspects repeatedly targeted this area or what the suspects were shooting at as they drove.
