Burglary suspect arrested for theft from construction site

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office has a burglary suspect in custody. A suspect accused of burglary and theft from the construction site located at 2250 Main St., Superior, that occurred over the weekend of April 13.

The suspect, Jay Dee Grow, D.O.B. 09/19/1978, from Aurora, Colorado, is accused of stealing approximately $150,000 in construction supplies and construction equipment. Grow additionally is accused of $1,000 of criminal mischief.

During the investigation of the theft at the construction site, Grow was identified as a suspect. An arrest warrant was issued for Grow for the charges of:

  • Theft (C.R.S. 18-4-401(1)(a)(i), a Class 3 Felony because the value was more than $100,000
  • Burglary (C.R.S. 18-203(1)(2)(d), a Class 5 Felony
  • Criminal Mischief (C.R.S. 18-4-501(1)(4)(b), a Class 2 Misdemeanor
  • Criminal Trespass (C.R.S. 18-4-503(1)(a), a Petty Offense

Grow was arrested in Aurora by the Aurora Police Department on June 26 and then booked into the Boulder County Jail after being transferred there on June 27.
