Boulder County Government Offices closed June 19 in Observance of Juneteenth


Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County government offices (including the 20th Judicial District Court and the District Attorney's Office) will be closed Wednesday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth Independence Day.

The Boulder County Elections Division and its Primary Election Vote Center locations will be open. The closure also does not impact 24/7 public safety, child and adult protection, or maintenance operations.

At Tuesday’s Business Meeting, the Boulder County Commissioner’s read this year’s Juneteenth Proclamation. They are sponsoring a number of Juneteenth events organized by NAACP Boulder County and the Executive Committee for African American Cultural Events Boulder County. This year’s theme is “Growing Our Next Generation” and the events are free and open to the public. Details are available on the county’s calendar at boco.org/calendar.
