Significant seizure of illegal drugs and money helps stem the flow of fentanyl into Boulder County.

Boulder County, Colo. - A joint effort between the Boulder County Drug Task Force and agencies across the Denver metro region has resulted in a significant seizure of illegal drugs and forfeiture of money, which will help stem the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs into Boulder County.

This ongoing and active investigation has already led to the seizure of over 23 pounds of methamphetamine, two pounds of heroin, one pound of cocaine, approximately 29,000 counterfeit M30 fentanyl pills, and smaller amounts of various other pharmaceutical pills.

One suspect has been arrested and another suspect associated with this investigation has been taken into custody outside of Boulder County.

This was a joint effort by multiple agencies including Boulder County Drug Task Force, which consists of the following agencies: Boulder County District Attorney’s Office (20th Judicial District), Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder Police Department, and Lafayette Police Department. The Denver Police Department’s narcotics unit also assisted in this effort.

Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation, and the anticipation that other arrests are forthcoming, we will not be able to release detailed information at this time.

As in every criminal case, charges are merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
