Boulder County, Colo. - This is an update for the press release related to the Portico Lane attempted murder investigation. The original press release can be found here.

On December 24, 2023, the 60-year-old male victim from this investigation passed away. As a result, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office to amend the original charges to reflect the change in status of the victim.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death, as well as release the identification of the decedent.

Michael Joseph Lucky, D.O.B. 3/15/91, remains in custody at the Boulder County Jail.

The associated Boulder County Sheriff’s Office case number reference this incident is: 23-06791.

As in every criminal case, these charges are merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.
