Property Valuation information session scheduled for residents impacted by the Marshall Fire
Boulder County Assessor Cynthia Braddock, in partnership with Marshall ROC, is hosting an online information event to answer questions about 2023 property valuations for those impacted by the Marshall Fire. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 24, from 6 -7:30 p.m. Register online.
Topics to be discussed are the reappraisal of value, how values were established for Marshall Fire properties, and how to appeal your value. The meeting will include a question-and-answer session. Spanish interpretation will be available.
To find out more about the 2023 property valuations, including the appeals process, visit boco.org/2023valuation. Appeals must be submitted by June 8.
In addition, in-person property appeals for Marshall Fire property owners will be available at the Louisville Recreation and Senior Center, 900 Via Appia Way, on Thursdays, May 25 and June 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Technology support available
Marshall ROC, in partnership with ITDRC, provides technology support to help the community in applying for disaster related assistance programs. Scanners, printer and laptops are available to use Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Marshall Fire Recovery Center, 357 McCaslin Blvd., Suite 115-B, Louisville.
Financial assistance resources
Property owners of Colorado communities impacted by state-declared or federally-declared disasters may be eligible for financial resources to rebuild or rehabilitate a residential property affected by those disasters.
The Colorado Disaster Rebuilds Program website provides applications to access to grants, rebates, forgivable loans, and traditional loans that are available by State, municipal, and philanthropic funding sources. Additional financial is available on the Marshall Fire Recovery website.

Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) is recruiting for the following Marshall Fire Related job opening: Resilient Recovery Manager - Remote/Hybrid (Term Limited to 12/31/2024)
Under the mission of DOLA, the Resilient Recovery Manager will manage DOLA’s Marshall Fire recovery communication and strategic coordination between local, state, and federal and other partners toward recovery and rebuilding goals and priorities. This position will manage data sharing and analysis efforts between agencies. This position will manage the Resilient Recovery Planner position and together provide recovery technical assistance to impacted communities. The Resilient Recovery Manager will oversee efforts to provide long-term community recovery expertise to federal, state, and local recovery coordination efforts and support local partners in navigating recovery resources. Rep. Neguse announces HUD will update reverse mortgage foreclosure guidelines for victims of the Marshall Fire
Congressman Joe Neguse announced that the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has taken action to prevent undue foreclosures for victims of the Marshall Fire. HUD flagged all properties located within Louisville, Superior, and unincorporated Boulder County in their servicing system to require additional HUD approval before Due and Payable actions are taken. In March, Rep. Neguse wrote to federal administrators requesting an update to the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) occupancy requirements for borrowers following a natural disaster. Read more.
