Workforce Boulder County Hosts Virtual Youth Impact Summit on May 25

The summit event “Empowering the Next Generation: Our Ideas, Our Future!” invites young adults ages 16-24

Boulder County, Colo.- Workforce Boulder County (WfBC) invites young adults to a virtual Youth Impact Summit on May 25, 2023, from 4-6 p.m. taking place on the Zoom platform. The summit is a free virtual event designed for young adults aged 16-24. The upcoming Youth Impact Summit is set to change the way we think about the future of career pathways and employment, putting young adults at the forefront of innovation and leadership.

WfBC intends to bring together young adults in Boulder County to envision and design a future where they have access to career pathways and quality jobs. With a focus on imagination, design, and empowerment, this event will provide a platform for young minds to envision career pathways and lead the way in voicing what they want and need when securing employment. All participants will receive a gift bag for attendance.

WHAT: Workforce Boulder County Virtual Youth Impact Summit

WHEN: Thursday, May 25, 2023

WHERE: Online – Zoom platform

TIME: 4-6 p.m.

Participants will share their ideas to help design a modern system that guides youth on clear seamless pathways to quality jobs and career opportunities. The virtual event will require attendees to have internet access to join via Zoom. Once registered, participants will receive the Zoom link and a guidebook for the event via email provided at the time of registration.

The Youth Summit is hosted by Workforce Boulder County. The WfBC Young Adult Program services Boulder County youth ages 16-24 that want support finding and developing a career path. With this program, a Career Support Specialist will work alongside the client to identify career goals, develop a career plan, connect with resources to build skills and confidence, and serve as a mentor and guide in the person’s career path.

WfBC may also be able to connect young adults with a paid internship experience to grow work-place skills, confidence, and community connections, or fund a short-term occupational skills certificate.
