Public invited to provide comments DRCOG Transportation Improvement Program grant applications

Comments requested by Nov. 9 on potential transportation grant applications for projects within Boulder County


Boulder County, Colo. - The public invited to provide comments on the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) 2024-27 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Subregional Share Call for Projects (“Call #4”) grant applications. $19M will be available for transportation projects within Boulder County.

In preparation for this call for projects, jurisdictions in Boulder County have prepared summaries of potential projects that could be submitted in Call #4:

  • CO 119 First and Final Mile Improvements at CO 52
  • CO 119 Commuter Bikeway Segments
  • Countywide Strategic Transit Plan
  • CO 93 Separated Bikeway Feasibility Study
  • Longmont to Boulder (LoBo) Trail–Jay Road Connection
  • Vision Zero Safe Routes to Schools Action Plan
  • Low Stress Cycling Facilities Study: Boulder-Lafayette/Louisville
  • US-287 Bikeway Feasibility Study
  • Boulder to Erie Regional Trail (BERT) Design
  • Southeast Boulder County Flex Ride Service
  • Isabelle Rd. Shoulders
  • South Boulder Rd. Bus Rapid Transit Feasibility & Multimodal Corridor Study
  • 30th Street Multimodal Improvements (Baseline Rd. - Colorado Ave.)
  • CO 7/Arapahoe Ave & 30th St. Multimodal Intersection
  • Folsom St. Multimodal Improvements Design (Pine St. - Colorado Ave.)
  • West Colorado Ave. Multimodal Improvements (Regent Dr. – Folsom St.)
  • CO 66 (Hover St. – Pratt St.) Roadway Widening/Multimodal Improvements
  • Via Appia Complete Streets and Safety Improvements
  • South St. Underpass
  • Flex Ride Starter Service
  • McCaslin Underpass

Staff members from Boulder County jurisdictions will be discussing these potential projects at the Boulder County Subregional Forum Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting on Nov 10. To provide comments, the public is invited to attend this meeting (view the agenda and join information), or provide written comments by Nov 9. Final applications for Call #4 will be due Jan 27, 2023, with another opportunity for public input in February 2023.
