Scrambler rescued after fall on the the 2nd Flatiron
Boulder County, Colo. - On Friday, May 27, 2022 at approximately 08:25 a.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female about a person who had fallen on the "Freeway" on the 2nd Flatiron. The injured party had landed and hurt her right shoulder, possibly dislocating it.
Members of Rocky Mountain Rescue Group and Rangers from the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks respond. Rescuers stabilized the shoulder and then using ropes, helped the party walk down the rock formation. The 24-year-old female from Maine was then assisted down to the Blue Bell Shelter where she met up with her friends. Her friend then took her to a local medical facility for evaluation. The rescue took approximately three hours.
Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
