Boulder Office of Emergency Management releases 2022-2027 Hazard Mitigation Plan draft

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder Office of Emergency Management has released the 2022-2027 Hazard Mitigation Plan draft. The Boulder Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is currently in the process of gathering input from the community and will release the final adopted plan this summer.

The Hazard Mitigation Plan is a framework that guides our communities in making decisions and developing policies to reduce or eliminate risk to life and property.

“Having a Hazard Mitigation Plan and annual updates in place that meet FEMA standards ensures that Boulder County is now qualified to access pre- and post-disaster mitigation grants,” said Boulder OEM Director Mike Chard. “We are currently in the process of completing the plan to ensure it accurately identifies hazards and mitigation strategies.”
