Small Wildland Fire Near Flagstaff

Boulder County, Colo. -

On April 19, 2022 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a small wildfire was discovered near Flagstaff Road and Bison Drive in Boulder County. The fire was named the "Bear Peak Fire" and as of Tuesday evening, was holding steady at 30 percent containment with no structures threatened and no forward movement. The fire remained at approximately 1/4 of an acre in size. Crews are still on scene assessing it at this time.

Agencies that responded to the scene included: Boulder Open Space and Parks, Mountain View Fire Department, Boulder Fire Department, Boulder County Sheriff's Office Fire Management, Boulder Mountain Fire Department, and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

The Multi-Agency Fire Investigative Team (MAFIT) will further investigate the cause of the fire in the morning.
