33-year-old male arrested for Sexual Exploitation of a Child

Boulder County, Colo. - On April 13, 2022, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Andreas Halusa on child sexual abuse material (CSAM) charges in the 600 block of Pearl Street in the City of Boulder.

The arrest came about after the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received information about the possession of CSAM from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) as recent as November 2021. The initial information was related to a past short-term residence of Halusa in unincorporated Boulder County. Sheriff ICAC Detectives were able to identify Halusa and his arrest came after a search warrant at his current residence in the 600 block of Pearl Street on April 12, 2022.

Halusa has been booked into the Boulder County Jail and is being held without bond for a violation of §18-6-403(3)(b.5) Sexual Exploitation of a Child, a class 5 felony.

Agencies who assisted with this investigation include the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder County District Attorney’s Office, Boulder Police Department, Longmont Department of Public Safety and University of Colorado Boulder Police Department
