Marshall Fire Impacts On Transportation
Provide Input on Transit and Intersectional Equity
Research has proven that public transit systems are failing to adequately meet diverse needs, particularly those of women, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Increased research is needed to make public transit feel safe for all people, regardless of their identities.
The Colorado Department of Transportation's Office of Innovative Mobility (OIM) aims to gather data on women's, LGBTQIA+ peoples', and people with disabilities' needs and experiences in using transit.
OIM research fellow Dani McLean would like to connect with you and/or the community you serve, hear your stories, and use your stories to inform recommendations to improve transportation from an intersectional equity lens. This could be in the form of a group discussion, individual conversations, a forum, or whatever you feel is most appropriate. If this is something you are interested in participating in, please contact Dani at dani.mclean@state.co.us or 970-978-2340.
