Air plane accident at the Cherry Creek Tree Farm near SH287/Isabelle Road

Pilot and passenger uninjured in airplane accident

Boulder County, Colo. - On June 10, 2021, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Boulder County Sheriff's deputies, Colorado State Patrol, Lafayette Police and Fire Department, Boulder Emergency Services and Mountain View Fire Protection District responded on the report of an air accident near the intersection of SH287 and Isabelle Road in unincorporated Boulder County, Colorado.

Upon arrival, a damaged Piper Cherokee 6 was located in the Cherry Creek Tree Farm Open Space. The instructor pilot and his student pilot were out of the plane and uninjured. Preliminary reports indicate the plane was out of the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration was notified and will continue the investigation as to the cause of the accident.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office case number for this incident is #21-2708.
