Injured worker rescued near County Road 116

Boulder County, Colo. - On Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Boulder County Communications Center was notified of an injured person at the City of Boulder Watershed property located near County Road 116.

A fifty-four-year-old male sustained a non-life threatening leg injury while working at the City of Boulder Watershed property. Indian Peaks Fire Protection District provided initial medical evaluation and care. Rocky Mountain Rescue Group provided a snowmobile litter evacuation to an awaiting ambulance. American Medical Response provided further medical care and ambulance transport to an area hospital. The rescue lasted approximately four hours.

Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Boulder County Sheriff's Office, American Medical Response, Indian Peaks Fire Protection District and Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
