Optional Site Visit

The county will accept and schedule requests for site visits. All site visits must be scheduled by the end of the day February 10, 2021. Please email Joe May at jmay@bouldercounty.org.

Site visits will be scheduled on Feb 11 & 12, 2021.

During onsite visits the guidelines are as follows:

Nothing can change hands.  No documents, business cards, sign in sheets,  etc.

All participants are required to wear face coverings at all times.

All participants are required to maintain at least 6 feet of physical distancing at all times.

Group sizes must stay within recommended guidelines as issued by the state and local

authorities.

Participants will be allowed to take photos or videos of the site in order to review with

subs.

In order to keep a level playing field, and in the interest of transparency, no discussion is allowed during onsite visits.  ANYTHING that is discussed during the course of visits must be submitted in writing to the bid.

Purpose/Background

Boulder County Public Works, Building Services Division, is seeking competitive proposals from general contractors to provide construction services required to complete the construction of a new storage facility addition, as well as a new office addition to the existing Hazardous Material Management Facility (HMMF). The Project is currently expected to start in the second quarter of 2021 with completion in the third quarter of 2021.

Written Inquiries

All inquiries regarding this BID will be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at purchasing@bouldercounty.org on or before 2:00 p.m. February 17, 2021. A response from the county to all inquiries will be posted and sent via email no later than February 19, 2021.

Submittal Instructions

BIDs are due at the email box only, listed below, for time and date recording on or before 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time on February 25, 2021. A bid opening will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time via email to all those who submitted a proposal.

The addendum with the answers to the questions received for this BID will be released on February 26, 2021. The new submittal due date is on or before 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time on March 5, 2021.
