Residential fire believed to be intentionally set

Suspect arrested on multiple charges, including First Degree Arson

Boulder County, Colo. - On February 2, 2021, shortly after midnight, the Boulder County Communications Center received a 911 call from a resident in the 1300 block of Tipperary St. in unincorporated Boulder County regarding a structure fire starting inside of the residence, filling the home with smoke. The fire was started by a resident at the property and quickly grew out of control, causing the fire to spread throughout the residence.

Boulder County Sheriff's Office deputies, firefighters from the Louisville Fire Protection District, Lafayette Fire Department, and Mountain View Fire Rescue responded. All occupants and pets evacuated the home without injury. Due to a quick response, firefighters gained control of the fire that started to move into the home's walls, upper level, and attic. The residence suffered significant damage, but wasn't a total loss. The American Red Cross was contacted and provided the victims with hotel lodging.

Deputies learned that there was a disturbance between two of the residents prior to the fire starting. Fredrick Faerron-Crocket, a 52-year-old male, was arrested by deputies and booked into the Boulder County Jail for First Degree Arson, Second Degree Arson, Felony Menacing, and Felony Criminal Mischief.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the fire, and detectives are working on a search warrant of the residence that will be executed later today.

The investigation is documented under Boulder County Sheriff's Office case number 21-623.
