Technical Rescue on the Mount Sanitas Trail in Boulder County CO.

34-year-old female sustained non-life-threatening leg injury while hiking.

Boulder County, Colo. -

On December 14, 2020, at 5:30 PM, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office responded to a technical rescue at the Mount Sanitas Trail located at 5300 Mount Sanitas Dr, Boulder County, Colorado. A 34-year-old female from Lafayette, Colorado, slipped on the trail while hiking, sustaining a non-life-threatening leg injury. Rocky Mountain Rescue responded, rescuing the female off the trail, where she was privately transported to receive further medical care. The duration of the rescue lasted approximately 2.5 hours.

Rocky Mountain Rescue, American Medical Response, Boulder Mountain Fire, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Rangers, and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the rescue.
