Stuck Scrambler Rescued from the Second Flatiron
Boulder County, Colo. -
On Thursday, October 21, 2020 at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriffs Communication Center received a call reference a lost hiker. The hiker was actually a stuck scrambler on the Second Flatiron. The hiker scrambled onto the rock and got stuck. Other hikers in the area waited on the trail until rescue personnel arrived to show the rescuers where the scrambler was stuck. The scrambler was not injured.
Members from the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group accessed the scrambler using technical gear. The scrambler was uninjured. Once back to the trail the scrambler/hiker hiked back to the trail head.
The rescue took roughly two and half hours.
