Program Summary: | Small Acreage Management volunteers answer small acreage property owner’s questions on issues such as grazing management, weed identification and management, pasture renovation and limited livestock issues. Duties and Responsibilities: | Volunteers are expected to answer private landowner’s questions in a timely and unbiased manner providing current technical information. They are required to report their contacts to the volunteer coordinator. |
Qualifications and Requirements: | Minimum age to participate 18 years, preferably a high school diploma or small acreage experience is desired but not required. A phone interview and a background check are required. Volunteers must attend 24 hours of training. |
