Program Summary:

Using native seeds in ecological restoration is essential to building resiliency and diversity in our special ecosystems. This is where you come in!

Volunteers will help restoration efforts by hand-collecting the seed of a variety of plants, including grasses, sedges, wildflowers, shrubs and trees over the course of the summer and fall!

Agency botanists will be on-site and provide plant identification during the project. Staff will continuously monitor seed development at a variety of open space areas, so the exact location of projects will be determined about 3-7 days before the event. We’ll communicate project details to registered volunteers within that time frame.
