INTERN-Ongoing Casework/Project REACH Intern

Time Commitment & Minimum Age:	This position requires a minimum 6 month commitment with the opportunity to extend as agreed upon with a commitment of 15-30 hours per week. A weekly schedule will be established based on the needs of the intern and program.
Location:	Boulder County
Program Summary:	To develop a broad understanding of the Colorado Child Welfare system and Boulder County Department of Housing & Human Services programs. To develop an understanding of Project REACH, a multidisciplinary program that provides community based services to youth who have committed sexual offenses. To assist the Project REACH coordinator with collection and management of data.
Duties and Responsibilities:	To assist caseworkers with case duties, including attending visits with youth and families, monitoring supervised visitation, writing and developing treatment plans, attending department and team meetings, attending court, transportation, and helping to connect families to resources. To support/manage a minimum of one case. To work with the REACH coordinator to assess and implement projects.
Qualifications and Requirements:	Seeking an individual with strong interpersonal skills, including being able to work with diverse staff and clients. The candidate should have good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as basic computer skills are necessary. Individual with a BA/BS degree who has clinical and human services knowledge and/or experience.
Training Dates and Information:	Scheduled as needed.
