Boulder County government offices closed Monday, Oct. 14, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The District Attorney’s Office is open Oct. 14.

Property Tax Due Dates

Certified funds are required for all payments starting Oct 1. Online payment is no longer available. Our office in Lafayette is closed for the year; it will reopen in late January 2025.

The State of Colorado allows property taxes to be paid either in two equal installments, or in full, by the dates shown below.

  • No discounts for early payment
  • Postmark accepted for tax payments mailed to our office (except tax lien redemptions)
  • Additional fees assessed for payments made after August 1st
  • Certified funds (cashier’s check, money order, cash) required after September 1st (do not mail cash payments)
  • Please contact our office for exact amounts if your payment is late

If you choose to mail us a payment, do not include cash. Checks and money orders should be made payable to “Boulder County Treasurer.”
