Boulder County entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the Town of Nederland in March 2002 whereby both local governments have agreed it is in our mutual and best interest to have a Comprehensive Development Plan. The purpose of the plan is to minimize negative impacts on surrounding areas, protect the environment, preclude urban sprawl, and promote orderly growth for the Town. The applicants have requested an amendment to the existing IGA. The process to amend this IGA includes public hearings before the Boulder County Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners. The Town of Nederland has public process requirements as well – interested parties should stay tuned for additional information from the Town of Nederland.
