Noxious Weeds & Invasive Species Integrated Pest Management & Control

Notice of Limited Services during the week of March 3-7, 2025. In-person building team services will be unavailable. and virtual services will be limited. Inspections will not be available on Monday, March 3rd and Tuesday, March 4th, and will be limited and not guaranteed for the remainder of the week. Integrated Pest Management & Control

Noxious weeds and invasive species can be managed using a combination of control methods. View State of Colorado Noxious Weed program for more information.

Mechanical

  • Remove seed heads
  • Hand pull
  • Mow

Cultural

  • Overseed with native plants
  • Reduce grazing intervals to encourage plant regeneration. Get assistance with grass and vegetation establishment by contacting CSU Extension.

Biological

  • Release beneficial insects which feed only on targeted noxious weeds

Chemical

  • Herbicide application
