Mountain Pine Beetle and Ips Bark Beetle

The Mountain Pine Beetle and Ips bark beetle are both native insects of western North America. Both species of beetle have been impacting a variety of species of pine trees in Boulder County for several years now. Each individual homeowner can take steps to minimize the impact on their land, speed the recovery of the forest around them, and minimize the danger of wildfire on their property.
