Kinglet Trail on Tolland Ranch

The Kinglet Trail is closed for the season.

The Kinglet Trail is a multi-use out-and-back trail. It can be accessed from the western side of the West Magnolia area near Nederland. The trail is open seasonally from summer to late fall.

Location

The Kinglet Trail can be accessed from the 105 Road, Root and Rocks Trail, or the School Bus Trail from the US Forest Service West Magnolia Trailhead.

It is recommended that mountain bikes travel uphill on Root and Rocks and downhill on School Bus.

Open Seasonally

The Kinglet Trail is open seasonally from summer to late fall each year in accordance with the trail easement agreement between Tolland Ranch, LLC and Boulder County.

Trail Name

The trail is named after the ruby-crowned kinglet, a small bird that can be found in the area. The trail had been referred to as the Toll Trail, the Tolland Trail, the Tolland Ranch Trail, or the Trail on Tolland Ranch, but Kinglet Trail is now the official designation.
