Food Assistance (SNAP)
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as SNAP or “Food Stamps”, provides nutritional food assistance for households who meet certain eligibility criteria. While the program won’t meet all nutritional needs for a household, it can help a family or individual buy groceries each month. Learn more here.

Funded Providers
Area Agencies on Aging provide funding to organization for essential services as well as provide direct services. The BCAAA has a blend of services around nutrition. For Fiscal Year 2024 (July 1, 2023-June 30-2024), the BCAAA provided funding to provide nutrition services for older people to the following entities:
- City of Louisville Senior Services (Congregate Meals)
- Nederland Area Seniors (Congregate Meals & Home Delivered Meals)
- Project Angel Heart (Home Delivered Meals)
- Boulder Nutrition & Exercise Services (Nutrition Counseling & Education)
- Satya Williams (Nutrition Counseling & Education)
