Vehicle fire in the 33,000 block of Boulder Canyon Drive

Boulder County, Colo. - On March 15, 2022, just after 1:00 a.m., the Boulder County Communications Center received a 911 call from a passerby regarding a vehicle on fire in the 33,000 block of Boulder Canyon Drive in unincorporated Boulder County.

Firefighters from the Sugarloaf Fire Protection District and deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) responded and found the vehicle fully engulfed. The vehicle was unoccupied, and no one was in the immediate area.

After firefighters extinguished the fire, the vehicle was determined to be a total loss, and all identifying information on the vehicle was destroyed. At this time, the only information regarding the vehicle is that it is believed to be a 2010-2015 Dodge 1500 four-door pickup truck.

The BCSO is investigating the incident and the cause of the fire has not been determined. The BCSO is requesting that anyone with information regarding this incident call BCSO dispatch at 303-441-4444.

The investigation is documented under BCSO case number 22-1067.
