Boulder County, Colo. - Over the past week, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office and partner agencies have devoted a significant number of hours to ground, water, and aerial search operations, with support from search and rescue volunteers and staff to search for Andrew Lord.

Andrew was reported missing on August 21, 2026, last believed to be near the Winiger Ridge Campground. He is a 42‑year‑old white male, 5’11”, 165 lbs, with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Personnel from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit, a bloodhound K9 team, and additional deputies alongside search and rescue partners from Boulder County Mounted Search and Rescue, Boulder Emergency Squad, Boulder Fire Rescue, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Front Range Rescue Dogs, Gross Reservoir Rangers, and Rocky Mountain Rescue Group have joined the search efforts.

Boulder Emergency Squad, Boulder Fire Rescue in partnership with Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Marine Evidence Recovery Team (MERT) provided specialized assistance, including special sonar and targeted dive operations, which made an invaluable contribution to the search of Gross Reservoir.

Despite these extensive efforts, Andrew has not yet been located. After covering all identified areas multiple times, we have made the difficult decision to suspend active daily search operations. We remain in close contact with Andrew’s family, and MERT may return in the coming weeks for additional specialized water‑based searches.

The investigation continues in partnership with Denver Police Department, where his missing person case originated, and we will act on any new information.
