Two Arrested Following Sexual Exploitation of a Child Investigation
Boulder County, Colo. - On July 06, 2023, two parties were arrested for active warrants following a child sexual abuse material (CSAM) investigation. These individuals are identified as 51-year-old Lucas Cole YOUNG and 70-year-old Allen Lane KRUZIK. Both reside in the 400 block of Morgan Road in the City of Longmont.
The investigation began after the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received information about the possession of CSAM from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). A search warrant was executed on May 30, 2023, at the residence on Morgan Road. During the execution of the search warrant, multiple electronic devices were seized, along with two handguns. During later forensic analysis of electronic devices belonging to YOUNG, hundreds of files were found in violation of sexual exploitation of a child. YOUNG also has a prior conviction for sexual exploitation of a child. Additionally, the two handguns seized during the search warrant were found to be in the possession of Allen KRUZIK, a previously convicted felon.
Boulder County Sheriff’s Office houses local members of Colorado ICAC task force, comprised of Boulder County Digital Forensics Lab investigators from Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Longmont Department of Public Safety, Boulder Police Department and Boulder County District Attorney’s Office. In addition to other responsibilities, investigators assigned to the Boulder County Digital Forensics Lab are tasked with investigating child sexual exploitation cases and high technology crimes, plus digital forensics expertise and analysis on a wide range of cases.
YOUNG was arrested and is being held on no bond for 10 counts of §18-6-403(3)(b.5), (5)(b)(I), Sexual exploitation of a child-possession, Class 4 Felonies, and one count of §18-3-412, Habitual sexual offender against children.
KRUZIK was arrested and is being held on a $1,500 bond for 2 counts of §18-12-108(1), Possession of weapons by previous offender, Class 5 Felonies.

Agencies who assisted with this investigation include the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder County District Attorney’s Office, Boulder Police Department, Longmont SWAT Team, Longmont Department of Public Safety and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
