FROM THE CITY OF BOULDER - Southbound 63rd Street between Gunbarrel Avenue and Twin Lakes Road will be closed beginning Monday, May 10, with an estimated reopening date of Tuesday, May 18. Southbound traffic will be detoured to Spine Road during this time. Northbound traffic will not be impacted.

The closure is necessary in order to complete emergency water main repairs. These repairs are being done on a primary transmitter pipe that supplies homes and businesses in the area with water. Water service is not anticipated to be impacted during the repairs.

The City of Boulder maintains more than 450 miles of water pipe that serves more than 100,000 community members. The city regularly inspects and repairs water pipes to ensure they are performing at a high level.
