Boulder County, Colo. - On May 9th, 2022 at approximately 12:32pm, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a lawn mower on fire on the property of the Nelson Flanders Water Treatment Plant in the 13000 block N. 53rd Street. The fire spread from the lawn mower onto the grass on the property and was approximately 30 feet x 30 feet in size.

Hygiene Fire Protection District, Lyons Fire Protection District, Boulder County Wildland Fire Crew, and Left Hand Fire Protection District arrived on scene and were able to contain and extinguish the fire without any other fire resources needed. No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
