Sheriff’s Office investigating attempted homicide

Suspect shot at victim after physical fight

Boulder County, Colo. - On Thursday, December 2, 2021 at approximately 10:26 p.m., the Boulder County Communications Center received a 911 call from a male party who reported that he had been involved in a physical fight with another male in the 33,000 block of Coal Creek Canyon Drive in unincorporated Boulder County. After the fight, the reporting party stated the other male drew a gun and fired multiple rounds at him, none of which struck the reporting party. The male who fired the gun fled the scene in a motor vehicle. Boulder County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies responded to the scene of the shooting and discovered evidence that corroborated the reporting party’s account of events. The victim and the suspect were known to each other, therefore the victim was able to provide identifying information and an address at which the suspect was believed to be located.

Boulder County and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies coordinated efforts and were able to arrest the suspect near his home in Jefferson County, without incident, a few hours later.

The suspect has been identified as Brandon Alan White, a 41-year-old male from unincorporated Jefferson County. White is being held at the Boulder County Jail on numerous charges to include: attempted murder in the first degree; attempted first degree assault; and felony menacing. The victim sustained minor injuries during the initial altercation. No one else was injured during the incident. There is no threat to the community at this time.

Anyone who may have information about this investigation is encouraged to contact Detective Katie Tkach at 303-441-3646.
