Share Feedback with Boulder County and FAA on Airport Noise

Two Opportunities to Share Comments on Airport Noise

Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA) Noise Sensitive Areas Survey

The Community Noise Roundtable for Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport is working to identify potential voluntary flight paths in an effort to reduce airport noise. As part of this work, Boulder County Commissioner Ashley Stolzmann and other roundtable participants are identifying areas that are noise sensitive and would benefit from less exposure to aircraft noise. County residents are invited to complete the ‘noise sensitive areas’ online survey by 12 noon on Monday, June 26, 2023.

The information collected during the survey period will assist Commissioner Stolzmann and county staff in understanding the community’s perspective on which areas of the county are noise sensitive. Voluntary noise abatement areas at other airports typically include areas close to the airport because the flights are lowest in these areas.

It is not the county’s intention to share individual responses, however, any data shared through the online survey is considered an item of public record and may be made available by request under the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA).
