September is Falls Prevention Month

Boulder, Colo. - Did you know that falling is not a normal part of aging? Boulder County Area Agency on Aging is committed to empowering all older adults in Boulder County to live well, and that includes avoiding falls. Falls remain a leading cause of injury for people aged 65 and older. Falls threaten older adults’ safety and independence and generate enormous economic and personal costs.

Join the Boulder County Partners for Falls Prevention to learn how to prevent falls from a variety of experts. Events will be offered throughout September!

The Boulder County Partners for Falls Prevention include Boulder Community Health, Boulder County Area Agency on Aging, City of Boulder Older Adult Services, Intermountain Health Good Samaritan Center, El Centro AMISTAD, Lafayette Senior Services, Louisville Senior Services, Longmont Senior Center, UC Health Longs Peak Medical Center, and 3rd LAW Dance/Theater.
