Rock Creek/Cradleboard trail detour in place for ground nesting birds
Detour in place until October 31 at Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm.
A section of the Cradleboard Trail at Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm--which is also part of the Rock Creek Trail--is temporarily closed to protect sensitive ground nesting birds. A detour is in place, but the rough terrain may not be suitable for road bikes.
The trail will reopen after the young fledge, which could be as late as Oct. 31. If the birds leave the nest early, the trail will reopen at that time.
Updates will be posted to the Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm web page. For more information please contact Senior Wildlife Biologist Susan Spaulding at sspaulding@bouldercounty.org.
