Provide feedback on the Marshall Fire Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery Action Plan

Following the devastating Marshall Fire and Straight-Line Winds event on December 30, 2021, the State of Colorado has now received a second congressional allocation of Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR), administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), in the amount of $4.85M under the Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act 2023 to address recovery needs in the areas of housing, infrastructure, economic development, and resilience in response to the following presidentially-declared disaster DR-4634-CO.

In order to give the public an opportunity to learn more about the proposed changes to the Marshall Fire Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery Action Plan and to ask questions and offer feedback, the Colorado Department of Local Affairs conducted a public hearing Tuesday, April 4.

The Department of Local Affairs has developed a substantial amendment to the Action Plan following the guidelines set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development that details how the additional funds will be allocated to address the unmet needs in Boulder County.
