Noon closure announced for Boulder County offices on Wednesday, March 13 due to severe winter weather forecast

Members of the public are encouraged to visit county offices in the morning to take care of county-related business and services.

Boulder County, Colo. - With a major storm system predicted to bring heavy winds, poor visibility, and significant snowfall to the Front Range tomorrow, we will be observing a noon closure of county offices on Wednesday, March 13.

With the early closure, Boulder County is seeking to reduce traffic on the roads during typical commuting hours when the brunt of the storm is expected to impact the Denver metro area.

While weather conditions are not expected to deteriorate in full until Wednesday afternoon, in the interest of public safety, Boulder County County would like to encourage community members to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary for travel and to take the time to get home safely.

The early closure will pertain to all county non-24/7 public services, functions, and client appointments. It will also include the 20th Judicial District Court and Probation Offices in Boulder and Longmont. All events or meetings scheduled to take place in county buildings in the afternoon are canceled.

Members of the public are encouraged to visit county offices in the morning on Wednesday to take care of services such as motor vehicle, recording, permits, payments, client services, and walk-in health and other appointments.
