Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Public Works will begin milling Jay Road between 63rd Street and CO 119/Diagonal Highway at 8 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24. Paving and striping operations will follow after milling is complete. Construction activity will take place between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Expect single-lane closures and traffic shifts during work hours, which will result in travel delays. Before final paving, the road surface will be milled and patched, so expect less than ideal travel conditions and reduced speeds. In addition to Jay Road, the following area streets will also be resurfaced:

  • 55th Street between Jay Road and CO 119/Diagonal Highway
  • 57th Street between Jay and Independence roads
  • Independence Road between CO 119/Diagonal Highway and 57th Street

Construction on Jay Road is anticipated to last through October and the other three roads will be complete in November. All work is weather dependent.
