Hiker rescued on Canyon Loop

Hiker falls and injures ankle on Canyon Loop

Boulder County, Colo. - On Saturday, October 15th at approximately 1705 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a hiker who had fallen while hiking on Canyon Loop at 377 Betasso Road. Once further information was gathered, it was determined the injured party was approximately 1 mile from the trailhead where she was injured.

Members from the Sugar Loaf Fire Department, Rocky Mountain Rescue and AMR were first to arrive on scene. Rocky Mountain Rescue arrived and packaged the patient in a litter and then transported her to the trailhead/parking area. She was then transported to the hospital by family members.

Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Sugar Loaf Fire Department, AMR and Rocky Mountain Rescue.
