Full closure of North 95th Street on Saturday, Nov. 23

Hard closure at Ogallala and Oxford roads; Single-lane closure on Sunday

Boulder County, Colo. - In order to complete a full reconstruction of a 600-foot section of roadway, North 95th Street will be closed between Ogallala Road on the north and Oxford Road on the south from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23. Detours will be established at Pike Road on the north and Niwot Road on the south as those roads are safer alternatives for crossing US 287 and CO 119/Diagonal Highway because there are traffic signals at these intersections.

Local, residential traffic will be allowed on 95th Street between Pike and Ogallala roads, but no traffic will be allowed south of Ogallala Road. Local, residential traffic will be allowed on 95th between Oxford and Niwot roads, but no traffic will be allowed north of Oxford Road.

On Sunday, Nov. 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., crews will need to reduce N. 95th Street to one lane between Ogallala and Oxford roads in order to complete roadway reconstruction. Expect delays ranging up-to 10-minutes. Alternate routes are advised.

This work is weather dependent. Schedules may be adjusted if inclement weather prevents completing planned operations.

Crews will be removing two-feet of asphalt and road base from 600-feet of roadway in order to lower the road to accommodate for the floodplain in this area. Due to the narrow roadway in this section, there is no way to safely accommodate the equipment and personnel required for the removal and reconstruction effort.

More information, including a detour map, is available at www.BoCo95.com. You can also contact Andrew Barth, Boulder County Transportation Communications, at 303-441-1032 or abarth@bouldercounty.org.

We do apologize for the inconvenience. This is the last major work effort required to complete the 95th Street Reconstruction Project, which should be finished by mid-December.
