Enter Today: Mitsubishi and Daikin Heat Pump Giveaway

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC U.S. and Daikin Comfort Technologies N.A. are each giving away three heat pumps to be distributed to income-qualified families rebuilding homes lost to the Marshall Fire. The application process for awarding the heat pumps to qualified residents will be administered by a committee of staff from Boulder County, City of Louisville, Town of Superior, Energy Outreach Colorado, and each respective heat pump manufacturer.  

The giveaway is open to residents who meet the following requirements:

  1. Household Annual Adjusted Gross Income for 2022 falls at or below 80% of Boulder County’s Area Median Income (AMI).
  2. The home being reconstructed on the homeowner’s lot of their former Marshall fire destroyed home is adhering to the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)
  3. FOR MITSUBISHI UNITS ONLY: home being reconstructed is adhering to one or more of the following standards: 1) ENERGY STAR v3.2, 2) ENERGY STAR and DOE Zero Energy Ready (ZER), 3) ENERGY STAR NextGen, or 4) Passive House (PHI/PHIUS). 

Exact models of the heat pumps will be determined based on specifications of the selected homes. The gift only includes the heat pumps themselves, and recipients will be responsible for covering any fees for installation or related services. 

Interested residents can apply for consideration until August 7th. Applications are available in English and Spanish. More information and a link to the application can be found here.

Applicants will be selected and notified by August 15.

Boulder County is acting as the facilitator of this heat pump give-away and as such makes no representations or warranties as to the appropriateness of a heat pump for any home associated with this initiative. It is solely the responsibility of the winners and their construction team to determine if the heat pump(s) being donated by the manufacturer is suitable for the new home.

Ingrese hoy: Sorteo de bombas de calor Mitsubishi y Daikin

Las compañías Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US y Daikin Comfort Technologies N.A. han donado, cada una, un total de tres bombas de calor, para que sean entregadas a familias con ingresos calificados que estén construyendo tras la pérdida de sus viviendas por el Incendio Marshall (Marshall Fire). El proceso de solicitud y selección para otorgar las bombas de calor a los residentes calificados será administrado por un comité formado por personal del condado de Boulder, la ciudad de Louisville, la ciudad de Superior, Energy Outreach Colorado y los respectivos fabricantes de las bombas de calor.

El sorteo está abierto a los residentes que cumplan con los siguientes requisitos:

  1. Que el ingreso anual bruto del hogar ajustado para el 2022 sea igual o inferior al 80 % al ingreso medio del área (AMI) del condado de Boulder.
  2. La vivienda que se está reconstruyendo en el lote del propietario de la casa destruida por el Incendio Marshall (Marshall Fire) se adhiere al Código Internacional de Conservación de Energía (IECC) del 2021
  3. SOLO PARA UNIDADES MITSUBISHI: la vivienda que se está reconstruyendo cumple con uno o más de los siguientes estándares: 1) ENERGY STAR v3.2, 2) ENERGY STAR y DOE Zero Energy Ready (ZER), 3) ENERGY STAR NextGen, o 4) Passive House (PHI/PHIUS). 

Los modelos exactos de las bombas de calor se determinarán en base a las especificaciones de las viviendas seleccionadas. El obsequio solo incluye bombas de calor, y los destinatarios serán responsables de cubrir cualquier costo de instalación o servicios relacionados.

Los residentes interesados pueden solicitar su consideración hasta el 7 de agosto. La solicitud está disponible en inglés y español. Puede encontrar más información y un enlace a la aplicación aquí.

Los solicitantes serán seleccionados y notificados antes del 15 de agosto.

Nota: si es seleccionado para recibir una bomba de calor Daikin o Mitsubishi (solo equipo), deberá enviar documentación a Energy Outreach Colorado para la verificación de ingresos. También se programará una reunión entre usted, su constructor y/o arquitecto, junto a representantes de los fabricantes de Daikin o Mitsubishi a fin de seleccionar el sistema de bomba de calor elegible apropiado para su nuevo hogar y confirmar los detalles de la entrega.
