East County Line Road closed for one month to help complete earthwork

Boulder County, Colo. – The Public Works Department will begin a roadway safety improvements project on East County Line Road (ECLR)/Weld County Road 1 (WCR1) between Zlaten Drive and St. Vrain Creek the week of Oct. 14. In order to safely complete the project, ECLR/WCR1 will need to be closed to all travelers for one month between Zlaten Drive and Quicksilver Road. The closure is needed due to the large amount of excavation required to reshape the road. Detours will be posted. View a map of the construction area and detour route.

After the work requiring the closure has been completed, travelers can expect daytime, weekday lane closures throughout the duration of the project, which is anticipated to last four months, weather permitting. Flaggers will be used to help travelers safely pass through the construction site. Access to the St. Vrain Creek Greenway parking lot will be maintained from the south.
