East County Line Road/Weld County Road 1 – Quicksilver to Pike Widening Project – virtual public meeting on preliminary designs

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County, in partnership with Weld County, is currently working on designs for widening East County Line Road (ECLR)/Weld County Road 1 (WCR 1) between Quicksilver and Pike roads. The project currently includes the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of ECLR and Weld County Road 20.5. Roadway improvements include the addition of a seven-foot wide paved, buffered shoulder in both the northbound and southbound lanes of ECLR and a new drainage structure for Dry Creek #2.

Boulder County Public Works will host a public meeting to share preliminary designs, collect feedback, and answer questions from attendees:

Current conceptual designs are currently available on the project webpage. Meeting materials will be posted soon after the meeting’s conclusion.

The project is a partnership between Boulder County and Weld County, each of whom own half the road. Boulder County Public Works is also working with the county’s Parks and Open Space Department and the City of Longmont as the project is located adjacent to designated open space lands.
